ollowing a hard-fought overtime basketball contest, the losing head coach charged and berated my partner official. The coach followed that with a profanity-laden tirade at the scorer�s table.

Had the game still been in progress, we would have assessed the coach a technical foul or even ejected him. Since the game was over, most referees would take their paycheck and put the game to rest. However, that reaction only adds to the likelihood of future problems with this coach and for your officiating brethren.
