Changing coaches' attitudes

The attitudes of coaches change dramatically when your confidence shows. Don't believe it? Ask your mentor about this: "At what point did confidence in your game show? And was that about the same time that coaches started treating you differently, with more respect?"

They will stop, think about it briefly, and say something like: "Well, now that you mention it, I recall they occurred at about the same time" or "Yes, I started doing [fill in the blank] and I did it to demonstrate presence and confidence on the basketball court. Coaches apparently noticed because my games got easier."
