Ah, they don't know what they're saying

e officials often gripe about the state of the media in terms of officiating. In football, they insist on saying the ground can't cause a fumble, they don't understand Technical procedures in basketball, and they haven't the first idea about delayed penalty procedures in hockey. We all wish that one of us could be there, to get it right, to have our perspective. Finally, there is one.

Recently, Colin Cowherd started his new morning show, the Herd, on ESPN Radio. The difference between him and other sports hosts is that he has worn the stripes.

"I was at Eastern Washington University, a small liberal college in the middle of nowhere, and I was in an intramural basketball league," said Cowherd.
