Our previous article had placed our lead and trail in a half-court setting. They had just completed the toss. We followed the two officials to their respective positions. We discussed some of their responsibilities, illustrated a play, and tried to provide you with a picture.
If the glitch had been fixed, here's what you would have seen: The photo depicted the lead's point of view from his position on the endline. He had a great look at the play, which enabled him to see through the players. He was also deep off the endline, which provided him with a wide field of vision. No infraction was going to be missed by our lead.
In previous articles, we discussed movement. For example, if you're too close to the endline as the lead, you lose perspective because your sight lines are too narrow.
Let's take a look at a photo illustrating an angle that doesn't offer a good perspective.
