Correctable errors

Now we're getting down to the jot and the tittle, so to speak. Rule 2.10 is remarkably concise in its wording, but it's probably the most difficult rule to master. Traveling has its ins and outs, but the overall concept is fairly straightforward; i.e., keep track of the pivot foot. 

But there isn't an overall concept to grasp regarding correctable errors. It's all details, and they're all nasty ones, too. I'm not saying that I think the rule itself is nasty, nor that I disagree with it. On that issue, I'm not committing myself. But getting it consistently right is beastly difficult. It's going to take a couple of more articles to get through all the details of this. So, sit back, relax, and open your mind.
