"I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." So said Douglas Adams, one of my all-time favorite writers. He and I have a lot in common when it comes to time, and in particular deadline, management. This mutual talent for creative delay is likely the only creative trait we share, and I intend to make the most of it. My hope is that by pursuing it with singleness of heart I might also develop other Adamsonian traits. It’s a long shot, but a guy can dream.

Knowing that, it should come as no surprise that I am intrigued by our next set of rules changes regarding new ways to delay the game. It should be equally unsurprising that I have put this topic off until almost last. And then put it off a few days more. It's a wonder I finished it at all!

There are changes to two aspects of the delay rules: a new delay infraction and a significant enforcement change.
