or the past seven years, I have been a one-sport official. Baseball has been my officiating focus. That was due primarily to the fact that my kids were very young, and my wife reminded me that being around the house would be a good thing for my marriage! Now that my kids are a little older I decided to get back into basketball. My wife firmly believes that has little to do with my wanting to get further abused as an official but rather due to turning 40 this year.
