Expertise

Officiating.com has a link that is entitled, "Ask the Experts." I hate that title.

I have never described myself as an expert when it comes to officiating, or anything else for that matter. On the other hand, when I feel that I am good at something, I don't mind taking some credit.

I once testified as the "department expert," when it came to parades and demonstrations, for the New York City Police Department. I believe I was on the stand for three days in Federal Court, testifying on behalf of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the NYPD.
