abiona High School is the tiniest school I have ever seen: K through 12 all meet in a building smaller than my kids' elementary school. But they have a very successful and storied program. For years I had looked forward to working my first game there. Now it was over. After unhurriedly changing in the teachers' lounge-cum-officials' room, my partner and I chatted casually as we wheeled our bags behind us along the royal purple carpet. Turning the corner by the gym, we found the visiting team still congregating in the hallway. Things work a little differently in our Utah rural schools. Because of the distance, St. Joseph's brought all their boys and girls teams. But there aren't enough locker rooms to accommodate them simultaneously. So while one team changes, the other waits.
