ast week I, along with my peers, received an exciting email from Mike Petty, the new Supervisor of Officials for the Utah High School Activities Association. It began thus:
Basketball Officials:
As you are probably aware, the Executive Committee, last week, approved the use of 3 officials for basketball during the 2007-2008 season. This will be at the 5A Boys Varsity level only. This "pilot" program is the first step to perhaps having it approved at other levels in the future.
